Art Expectations and Consequences
- Student Expectations
- Students will follow the school rules and expectations as outlined in the student handbook
- Be present and on time for all classes
- Come prepared (sketchbook, pencil, eraser, willingness to learn) to every class
- Show respect toward teachers and other students
- Keep school property, art room, and art materials in good condition and handle with care
- Be prepared to participate in all art activities and assignments
- Keep your area clean and/or in better condition than found and clean up after yourself
- IF IT IS NOT YOURS, DO NOT TOUCH IT! Example: computers, art work, supplies that are not being used at that current time, items on my desk or another students desk
- Classroom Behavior
- Listening (no talking) when the teacher or another student is talking
- No food or drinks (other than bottled water) in the art room
- When in the art room, a student will do art work (not work from another class)
- Cell phones should be off and not visible or heard
- Consequences
- The following steps will be followed in dealing with disciplinary situations.
- Student warning
- Student warning and Teacher discussion in the hallway
- Phone call home
- School and Administrators decision
- Rewards
- If a student meets all of their expectations and I do not need to move to disciplinary step #2, I will drop the lowest sketchbook grade for each nine weeks
